Closeline Settlements was founded in 1993 by attorneys Michael P. Bell and Elliot M. Liss under the name Montgomery Home Title. Started as a local title company, the founders quickly recognized that the title industry was underserved in the multi state provider niche. More importantly, the title industry operated in an antiquated and outdated manner with many providers not being customer focused or service driven. By utilizing proprietary technology, they developed a web based platform which allows Closeline Settlements and it’s sister organizations to have a 30 branch office network around the country. Unlike the competition, quality of service is consistent in every office.

Since that time, the Company has grown tremendously into a multi state title agency that services 45 states. We have become a widely recognized and trusted name in the mortgage and real estate sectors. We have nearly 200 employees, in house web programming and over two thousand settlement agents nationally. Our staff of experienced attorneys, paralegals, processors, funders and account managers is among the best in the industry. In 2004, we officially changed our name from Montgomery Home Title to Closeline Settlements, to more accurately reflect our nationwide presence.

In an effort to continue our standard of service excellence, we opened our Realtor, Builder and Lender divisions. In our builder division alone, we process, close and fund over 2,500 transactions every month and have an extensive pipeline of approximately 5,000 units.
