Elliot M. Liss
Trustworthy, reliable, and forward-thinking are a few of the characteristics which have shaped Elliot’s career as a settlement services executive.
As a founding partner of Closeline, Elliot began his career developing relationships and providing solutions for bank and non-bank lenders in connection with their nationwide and regional lending platforms. Elliot is considered a pioneer in the industry as he created one of the first nationwide title and escrow companies with brick and mortar locations in multistate environments. Today, two decades later, Closeline is licensed to operate in approximately 44 states through various company-owned subsidiaries.
Seeing a need and an opportunity to provide full services to his clients, Elliot established Validata Lender Services, LLC (VLS) as a national appraisal management company. VLS services regional and national bank and non-bank lenders in support of their entire appraisal platforms with seamless electronic integration achieving appropriate appraisal compliance.
In 2014, Elliot co-founded Title Connect, the first cooperative format based title organization connecting large scale title organizations. Title Connect is a revolutionary industry leader bringing together former competitors to collaborate resources to further client services and solutions. Founding organizations of Title Connect include Closeline Settlements, Monarch Title and Capitol Title.
Elliot is an attorney, and member of the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars. He is a cum laude graduate of the American University’s Washington College of Law and has a bachelor of science in finance from the University of Maryland at College Park.
Elliot has been an active member of Young Presidents Organizations since 2003 and lives with his wife of 22 years, Sandy and four children in Potomac, Maryland.

Michael P. Bell
Experienced. Diligent. Dedicated. As the co-founder of Closeline, these traits have guided Mike through the success and growth of Closeline. Prior to his founding of Closeline, Mike graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law and was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1987. He is also a admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and in Washington State. He is a former prosecutor with the Assistant States Attorney office for Montgomery County, Maryland and a member of the Montgomery County and Maryland State Bar Associations. Mike practiced law with the real estate law firm Selzer and Roberge in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
His role at Closeline crosses over many client solution platforms. Mike is an avid web designer and is primarily responsible for the design and implementation of Closeline’s proprietary web-based software platform. Mike’s designs are structured to foster Closeline’s National Closing and Escrow Platform.
Mike previously served on an advisory board to Branch Banking and Trust (BB&T) which advises the bank in creating system operational efficiencies for national escrow clients as well as other multistate businesses.
An avid pilot with an ATP rating, Mike takes to the skies as much as possible in his free time. He flies for a volunteer veteran’s organization, the Veteran’s Airlift Command. The VAC flies combat wounded veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

John Henry Sisk
Vice President of Business Development
John Henry Sisk is the Vice President of Development, responsible for the leadership and expansion of Closeline’s continued development around the country. He is a veteran in the mortgage industry, having more than 10 years of mortgage operations experience, and licensed Title Agent in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia.
Prior to his current position, he was the Principal Partner for Remotion, where he developed and managed the company from its beginning. Before establishing Remotion, John Henry served as Director of Operations at Validata Lender Services, a Closeline company. In this role, he began to build a rapport with customers based upon trust and established long-lasting relationships with various lenders. He has managed a network of appraisers, order processing, and the negotiation and maintenance of Closeline’s national network of branch offices around the country.
John Henry has a passion for flying and is a professional pilot with advanced certificates in fixed wing aircraft. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore in both aviation and sociology.
Michael E. Bell
Director of Operations
Michael E. Bell is the Director of Operations, responsible for Closeline’s operations in more than 40 states and the delivery of a seamless settlement experience for customers — anytime, anywhere.
He joined Closeline in 2000 and held a vital role in many departments including the California Escrow division, leading the continued successful growth of the West Coast escrow operations. In his current role, he oversees all nationwide transactions and strategic planning for Closeline’s offices. He has remained at the forefront of mortgage processes and is a certified California EAFC member and licensed Title Agent in the state of Maryland.
Mike earned an undergraduate degree from the Elon University Martha and Spencer Love School of Business and an MBA from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University.
Anthony started at Closeline in 1995 (at the tender age of 25) and was instrumental in expanding the company from a reputable regional player to the major title and escrow powerhouse it is today, operating in 40+ states. After many successful, and life-changing years with Closeline, he left to pursue his dream of establishing his own tech company.
That dream became a realization, and now Anthony is world renowned for co-founding StickyStreet, one of the planet’s most popular loyalty and rewards platforms. Established in over 100 countries and 13+ languages, StickyStreet is used by hundreds of global agencies and big brands including TJ MAX, Verizon, Toys R Us, Gloria Jeans Coffee, and Harley Davidson, among others. Today he teaches an ongoing class in Marketing called: “Getting to Yes by Saying NO”.
Chief Marketing Officer
A perpetual mad scientist and visionary, Anthony’s creative and loyalty expertise has been featured in the Washington Post, Washington Times, Business Week, Modern Salon, Salon Today, Renew Magazine, LaunchPad, American Spa and he has been a frequent guest speaker at Apple’s Small Business Day Events. He enjoys building brands and helping others, especially children and furry animals.
When he’s not busy at work, dedicated to the needs of his lenders, brokers, and agents, he can be found watching (and rewatching) one of the 3000+ movies in his library, learning a new cuisine: currently Traditional Vietnamese, or practicing his molecular gastronomy skills.
Anthony’s philanthropic endeavors have him on the Board of Directors for Academy Dances for Hope, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to the advancement, socialization, and education of underprivileged children through social dance. He is also a contributor to the HRC, Matthew Sheppard Foundation, Miriam’s Kitchen, Georgetown Pediatrics, (RED), Doctors without Borders, U.S. Pirg and The Hamels Foundation.
